Homemade Top Tips
- eBay sell some beautiful silk flowers for incredible prices
- Accessories like clutch bags and garters are super easy to sew, even if you have no experience! (post to follow!)
- Some beautiful dresses are often donated to charity shops, try the Oxfam Bridal shop if your local doesn't have any
- If you're happy to have a simple design, why not make your own dress? (post to follow!)
- Some cheap vases filled with water beads can make for some beautiful centre pieces. Or why not sand and coloured water for a more beachy theme?
- Research, research, research! Make Pinterest boards, use Hitched, or even start your own blog to save your ideal themes all in one place
- Beautiful stationery can be super easy to make! Hobbycraft have a great selection (or if you're super crafty - I wish!) invest in some watercolours and card stock. Just remember, there's no rule saying every save the date/invitation/place card has to be identical
- Ask to raid your mother/grandmother's wardrobe - vintage never goes out of style
- Check eBay for pre-owned dresses, though I'd avoid the too-good-to-be-true brand new listings!
- Who says you need to make everything yourself to have a homemade wedding? Check etsy for some gorgeous handmade jewellery. You're bound to find a gem or two
